Frequently asked questions
Are you a tow truck?
No — and the difference matters. We transport vehicles as cargo on a trailer in scheduled, prearranged shipments. We don't do roadside rescues, accident scenes, or "come get my car right now" calls; Texas law reserves that work for licensed tow operators. If you're broken down on the road this minute, call a tow company — then call us to move the car anywhere in Texas once it's somewhere safe.
How fast can you pick up?
Every job is booked in advance with a minimum lead time of about 18 hours, and in the DFW metro we can usually offer next-day windows. You pick the appointment; we show up in it.
Is my car insured while you have it?
Yes. We carry commercial auto liability and cargo (on-hook) coverage for vehicles in our care. Certificates of insurance are available on request — B2B clients, just ask and we'll send one to your office.
My car doesn't run. Is that a problem?
It's our specialty. We winch-load non-runners — including dead EVs, which should never be dragged or dolly-towed. Wheels need to roll and steer; if they don't, tell us at booking and we'll confirm whether we can safely load it.
How does the condition report work?
At pickup we photograph the vehicle from all sides with timestamps and note existing damage; you (or your representative) can review it on the spot. We repeat the process at delivery. If anything changed in between, it's our responsibility, our insurance, and a written response within ten business days.
How do I pay?
Nothing is due until delivery. Pay by card, cash, or Zelle when your vehicle arrives — before it comes off the trailer. Approved business accounts can be invoiced.
Can you take my car out of state?
No. We operate wholly within Texas — it's a deliberate part of our structure that keeps us fast and affordable. Both pickup and delivery must be Texas addresses.
What about stuff inside the car?
Please empty it. Personal items aren't covered by cargo insurance, they can shift and cause damage, and heavy loads change how the vehicle sits on the trailer. Factory equipment (spare tire, jack) is fine.
What if I need to cancel?
Free up to 24 hours before your pickup window. Inside 24 hours it's $50; a dry run after we've arrived is $75. If we have to cancel on you — weather, equipment, safety — you owe nothing and any prepayment comes back in full.
Who's behind Move Prolific?
Prolific Freight Runners, LLC — a Texas limited liability company based in Dallas–Fort Worth. One operator, one truck, one trailer, and a booking system most national carriers would envy.
